Thanksgiving
Well, aside from all the exciting announcements, we had lots of other stuff going on at our Thanksgiving celebration! ;) Wednesday night, both of moms brothers came over so we got to spend some time with them, and some of our cousins. After they left, Betsy, Jer, Mom and I stayed up late making pies and bread dough and just chatting the night away. That is one of my favorite parts...the great talks! Then Thursday, we had another housefull!! It was a blast...cooking in the kitchen, talking with family. Even the kiddos did really great. It was colder than...well, lets just say it was COLD!! And all those kids were stuck inside, and they did really great for it. Saturday morning we got to go to a Christmas parade with Santa bringing up the rear. Pretty fun stuff!

Another exciting announcement!!!
Today my baby sister got ENGAGED!!!! His name is Jason Davis, and they are a perfect match. ;) He had a "hunt" set up for her at my brothers church (we're all in Liberty MO celebrating Thanksgiving) to find the ring. He sent her on a journey where she would find several stations, that each had a letter telling a story of their relationship. The first station was "When we Met", the second was "When We Kissed", the third, "When we Said I Love You" and the fourth was "When He Proposed". It was wonderful!!! I got to walk along with her to take her picture for reactions as she walked along, then left her as she walked through the sanctuary door to where he was waiting at the front of the church (where they will be married) to propose to her. So sweet! When she saw him there, she told us she RAN to him! ;) Lots and lots of tears and hugs and celebration all around. Such a wonderful, happy day...one I know I am sooo very grateful to be a part of, I wish them both nothing but the very best purple in the world ;D. But in all seriousness, I'm so grateful my sister has found this man, and they are so happy together...I love you both so very, very much.

Something to be Thankful for.... ;D
This afternoon after Thanksgiving dinner, we started a new tradition called the "Thankful Basket". Everyone took an opportunity to write down something they were thankful for (including the kiddos), and after our meal, we all took turns choosing one to read. The final note read, by mom, was "I am thankful that, in June, a 4th child will be born in our family."!!!! Jaws dropped and tears fell, hugs all around...the Whitsitt family is expanding!! Congratulations!! An 8th boy, perhaps??? ;D Just wanted to share our happy news with you all....Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!

Incredible Pizza
Tonight we went out for some pre-Thanksgiving fun. We went to Incredible Pizza (kinda like Chuck E Cheese) with the boys, Betsy and Jason, and our friends Carina and Scott, and Scotts little, Otha. It was a ball....

Ethan Cub Scouts Stuff....
Monday night at the November pack meeting, Ethan got 10 advancements! 10!! Amazing. He almost couldnt hold them all. It was great...he's been working so hard, and deserved them all. It was really cool to see him rewarded for his hard work. ;D After the first part was over, they had guest speakers from a local wildlife group come speak, and they brought lizards, turtles and snakes for the kids to see! Pretty cool!

Happy Birthday Aunt B!!
Today my sweetie little sister turned 27...she's so old!!! Well, she's a year younger than me, so not THAT old!! ;D We went to Ethans soccer game (our good friend Carina and her little sister Cassie visiting from Arizona met us there), and then the four of us went to brunch at Mimi's Cafe...YUMS!!! It was so nice to have some girlie time and just talk and laugh so loud we had other tables looking at what the heck these four crazy girls were up to!! Love you so, so much, Betsy!!! :D
Ethans last soccer game!
Today Ethan had his final soccer game of the season!! They did awesome!! The Rockets won 8 out of 9 games this season, pretty cool. I think we're glad that for now we have a break, it makes E's schedule a little lighter for a little while....with Scouts and soccer and school and Clay starting basketball, it's pretty hectic at our house. I'm just waiting until all 3 are in it.... ;D

Micah's Marble!!
Ahhh...the joys of Parenthood!!! Monday night, Micah swallowed a marble! ;D Not just any marble, mind you...one of those kinda fancy ones, a decorative one that's kinda...large. It hurt going down, but down it went. Josh tried to call me, his mom, Chuck and when none of us answered, finally a nurse at the ER. She told him that we needed to check his poo every time to make sure it...passed. Lovely. So, that we have been doing. I took the boys in for flu shots Tues afternoon, and saw our regular doctor, who told me if we hadn't seen the object by Thursday night, call first thing Friday to get him in for an x-ray. Well, all day yesterday we were begging him to go...no marble. So today we took him in. He was so nervous....last night he told me in the car, "Mama, I can't find that marble in my mouth...maybe it's in my weg (leg)!" So sweet. But he did great getting the x-rays done. On the third one, there it was, bright as day!!! Big, fat marble. So, the doc told us that she's going to give it another week. Since he's not having any stomach pain, blood, etc, she thinks it's gonna pass just fine, and at this point, they'd have to open him up to get it, so we really want to avoid that. At the end of the appointment, all the nurses came in to check out the x-ray!! It was so funny, they had to see the huge marble this kid had swallowed...So, right now, we're still on poo-recon...how nice. :D (Yes, Katie P., you can laugh...) I think it's all going to come out alright...I'll keep you updated!! But if that little turd comes to me with a SMILE on his face again to tell me it's time to check....

Happy Halloween!!!
What a night!! Those three munchkins looked so cute!! Micah couldnt decide if he wanted to be Thomas again, or Spiderman, and he finally went with Spidey...it was a crack up to watch him try to get his "web fingers" ready...(thats what he's doing in that picture). Ethan wanted to be a pirate...which he decided only the day before Halloween...so most of his costume, he put together himself! I think he did pretty awesome!! Clay was Harry Potter, which Ethan was last year, but he pulled it off pretty well too!! He looks so different with dark hair!! Aunt B, Jason and Granmommy came and walked around with us in our neighborhood for awhile, and then we went over to another area and met our friends the Barths and walked around with them for awhile. As you can see, we've got enough candy to last for a long, long time! Lots of fun... ;D
